Your email and your Mac

Posthaste connects directly to the email providers you choose to read, search, synchronise and send mail. Those providers process requests under their own policies. Mailbox contents and mail-provider credentials are not uploaded to our website.

Account settings are stored on your Mac; credentials are stored in macOS Keychain. The local mail database is encrypted. Selected, staged and downloaded attachment files are not separately encrypted by Posthaste. Your device security and backup settings also affect protection and retention.

Remote images

The text reader does not fetch remote images. If you open the original HTML and allow remote content, your browser loads those resources directly from their hosts. This can disclose your network address, the request time and recipient-specific tracking URLs to those hosts.

This website and service infrastructure

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the network information needed to deliver and protect it, such as IP addresses, request URLs and times. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts or cookies to this website, and Worker request logging is disabled in our deployment configuration. Cloudflare may process operational and security data under its own privacy policy. Infrastructure and email providers may process data outside your country.

Purchases

Posthaste is intended for distribution through the Mac App Store. Apple handles purchases and payment information under its privacy policy. We do not operate a billing server or collect payment card details through this website.

Support and diagnostics

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary message contents. We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Posthaste writes operational errors to local process logs; it does not include an automatic developer-operated crash upload or application usage analytics service. macOS notifications may show sender names, subjects and previews, depending on your notification settings.

Your choices and requests

You can leave remote images blocked, control notifications in macOS and remove accounts through Posthaste. Removing an account clears its local account data through the app’s removal workflow; it does not close the account with your mail provider. Exported attachments and device backups must be managed separately.

Contact admin@ahf.xyz to ask about personal information we hold, request access, correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. We will respond subject to applicable law and any records we are required to retain. You can also contact your local privacy regulator; in Australia, this is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We will publish updates here with a revised date and explain material changes before introducing a materially different use of your information.
